Kvitbreen sleeping bag – best buy!

Helsport’s Kvitbreen gives you the most value for money, according to UTE magazine’s extensive review of down sleeping bags.

Glow-in-the-dark and down-proof

Helsport’s Kvitbreen was quickly adopted as a favourite amongst the reviewers. The bag was used for several nights near the lower end of its rated comfort temperature limit, without it affecting a good night’s sleep. The fit is relatively snug, making for a bag that’s quick to heat, but doesn’t feel restrictive.

Moisture and condensation on the outside of the bag is easily wiped off before packing, thanks to the water-resistant outer fabric. The inner fabric is down-proof, to hinder down leakage into the bag, and this works as it should – UTE didn’t experience any down leakage during the test period.

Tensioning of the hood and neck collar worked well, and we liked the long side-zipper with glow-in-the-dark pullers which are easy to find even after the headlamp has been switched off for the night.

The stuff sack is waterproof and can be used to compress the sleeping bag. You also get an additional mesh bag for storage. All in all, a decent sleeping bag at a decent price.

Pros:  Water-resistant outer fabric
Tensioning works well

Cons: None in particular
