Tonje Blomseth

Tonje is a sporty girl from Trøndelag, who likes to keep busy with various outdoor adventures. She especially enjoys expeditions and long trips in demanding conditions.

For Tonje, the big dream is an outdoor adventure lasting several years. For now, she’s happy with ‘shorter’ adventures. On December 12th 2011 she became, at the age of 17, the youngest person to have walked the length of Norway – a 3000km journey through the Norwegian landscape, with her dog Maddox by her side.

In winter 2012-2013 she took a shot at walking the length of Svalbard, and from November 2013 to May 2014 she walked across northern Scandinavia on skis, accompanied only by her dog. Starting in Kaaresuando, Finland, Tonje lived for a while amongst families of Norwegian and Finnish reindeer herders.  The trip was demanding, due not in the least by extreme weather conditions. Despite facing many challenges, including a tent destroyed in a storm, she completed her trip on May 7thin Ammärnäs in Jämtland, Sweden.
